The best job I never won
I had been doing works through a PR agency for a company called Wallingford. One day we got news that they had been bought out by another company who would be using their incumbent agency for all their marketing from then on. Well, we thought ‘Lets show ‘em what we can do’ and produced a set of concepts to spruce up their global ad campaign.
The new company liked them but weren’t interested and did, in the end continue working with their current agency. What was interesting was that the concepts so impressed the people who introduced us, that I was given the chance to do much more work that with just the one client that I didn’t get to keep…
Funny how things work out!
